Drift, was the body of work that resulted from MA (Research) studies at the University of Melbourne, VCA. Drift put forward the proposition that 'drifting' could be a methodology for the production of artwork as well as a conceptual framework. To drift is to err, to find oneself off-course, to have moved imperceptibly from the known into the unknown. Drift, exhibited in 2007, comprised 38 paintings of the ocean installed slightly above eye level in a horizontal line around the four walls of a white cube gallery space, in the adjoining room a series of super 8 films explored notions of stasis and movement.
